ARMSX3 is a free, open-source PlayStation 3 emulator for Android, built on RPCS3. It combines upstream development with Android-focused performance, compatibility, and usability improvements led by jpolo1224, developed in collaboration with Whatcookie.Your PS3 themes work on ARMSX3.
Load a PS3 theme file (.p3t) you own and ARMSX3 makes it your library background. Still themes show their artwork, slideshow themes cycle through their images, and dynamic/3D animated themes play live, with the same moving scenes and characters they had on the console. Non PS3 (.p3t) themes also work, like ARMSX2's png/jpeg/gif/webp support for backgrounds.

• Android 11 or newer
• 64-bit ARMv8.1 processor
• Snapdragon 865/870, Mali G57 or equivalent
• Adreno 650 or equivalent with Vulkan 1.1
• 8 GB RAM
• Intended primarily for lighter games
RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS
• Android 13 or newer
• Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or newer
• Adreno 740 or newer
• 12 GB RAM
• Good device cooling, good number of games playable, heavier SPU/CPU demanding games are not.
OPTIMAL REQUIREMENTS
• Android 14 or newer
• Snapdragon 8 Elite or newer, the best performance you can get for PS3 on Android, capable of running the heavy hitters.
• Adreno 830 or newer
• 12 GB RAM or more
• Active cooling recommended for sustained performance
Be sure to make use of custom drivers best suited for your device.
This is PS3 Emulation, it is not suited for weak devices. On PC RPCS3 has some pretty beefy system requirements, the work that has gone into making it a good experience on ARM has been substantial, still the better your hardware, the better your experience will be. Performance will vary on a game by game basis, just like RPCS3. The better your CPU/GPU, cooling, and RAM amount, the better you experience will be.
